PANCAKES AND MORE PANCAKES!!!!

Are you ready for next Friday???

WE ARE CELEBRATING PANCAKE DAY!!!

Is this the first time you hear about pancakes? Watch this video and learn how to cook them!

Easy peasy,
lemon squeezy!!!!

MMMM!!! They are DELICIOUS!!

Read the information below and learn more things about Pancake Day...

Pancake Day (or Shrove Tuesday) is the last day before the period of Lent. Lent is a time of abstinence, of giving things up. So Shrove Tuesday is the last chance to indulge yourself, and to use up the foods that aren't allowed in Lent. Pancakes are eaten on this day because they contain fat, butter and eggs which were forbidden during Lent.

On that day it is traditional to eat pancakes, toss pancakes and take part in pancake races.

In 2014 Pancake Day will be on March the 4th.

INTERESTING FACT:

The world's biggest pancake was cooked in Rochdale in 1994. It was an amazing 15 metres diameter, weighed three tonnes and had an estimated two million calories!
