We are learning about SPACE!

After listening to the story 'Whatever Next', we made rockets with our names and even went to the moon in a rocket!!!
We also made some fruit rockets. They were DELICIOUS!!

BABIES

Hello! The Infant children are learning about BABIES.
We are learning this LULLABY (NANA) to help a baby get to sleep!

GINGERBREAD

The 3 year olds have been making GINGERBREAD!

Es una receta tradicional de Inglaterra. Estas galletas de jengibre se preparan especialmente durante la época navideña.

        Ingredientes:

       350g de harina

·         175g de azúcar

·         100g de mantequilla

·         4 cucharas de miel

·         1 huevo

·         1/2 cucharadita de bicarbonato

·         1 cucharadita de jengibre en polvo

·         pepitas de chocolate para decorar

      

           Methodo:

·         Precalienta el horno a 180° centígrados.

·         Mezcla la harina, bicarbonato, el jengibre y la mantequilla.

·         Incorpora el miel y el huevo y bate hasta obtener una mezcla homogénea.

·         Extiende la masa con el rodillo hasta obtener un grosor de 1/2 centímetro. Corta en figuras con un cortador de galletas. Decóralas. Coloca en papel de horno, separadas.

·         Hornea entre 8 y 10 minutos o hasta que se hayan dorado.

HALLOWEEN

The Infant classes have been celebrating HALLOWEEN!

In class we made some masks and we played some games together. The 3 year olds made some GHOSTS!!!

LIVING THINGS

Yr.1 children have been learning a lot about living things.

We planted some beans, lentils and sunflower seeds and observed their parts and the way they grow.

We did some group work and presentations about animals. We feel really proud of them!!! Now  we are able to classify animals according to what they eat, the way they are born, the way they move and some other features!!

Some children took their pets to the class, so we were able to see a turtle and a hamster. Besides, Ismael visited us twice: the first time he made an animal prints workshop for us.
The second one, he came with Natalia and they showed us some reptiles and amphibian. We touched the skin of toads which was smooth and moist and we saw a toad's eye using a magnifying glass. We also saw some newts and a little mouse. The most exciting part came when he picked the snake and allowed us to touch it.

Everyday, we observe and take care  of our class pets, the STICK BUGS! Maru came to the class and made a presentation about these insects. We learned a lot and we were able to pick them!!! It was great fun!!! Maru and Rafa bring us food for the insects weekly and take care of then on holiday!!!

 We really enjoyed reading the story 'Kipper´s Toybox', and learning the names for different toys. We have also had fun playing lots of games. Have a look at our photos!
